Event staging hire - festival stages, catwalks, concerts
Staging is quite literally the foundation of any event. We can extend an existing stage to give you more room, install drum risers, make a catwalk or for concerts deploy a trailer stage or modular steel deck stage for you.
We hire stages in singular sections and in entire "stage" formation. This is due to the huge difference in requests for shape and size we receive. Below are some previous installations with some ideas and thoughts on design options and layout. We will be happy to talk directly to you about any of your own ideas.
Rostra
Rostra or Rostrum is similar to steeldeck in that it is formed from singular stage sections and as one can make a stage extension, catwalk, drum riser or Pa wing. Two of the largest differences with Rostra (aka cuebuild) is that it is much lighter and all of the tops are removable fom the leg frame sections making it much easier to store.
Steel Deck
This refers to a staging section designed to build a complete modular stage. These staging sections have a ply-wood timber top and a steel base for strength. Steeldeck is normally supplied in the 8" by 4" size although many other sizes are available. They have detachable steel tubular legs that can be ordered in different lengths to meet requirements. A common length is 3ft allowing the stage to stand one metre from the ground in total.
Concert Stages
Our concert stages are constructed by our own crews from steeldeck with steel (scaffolding pole) legs. Our stages can be built to nearly any specific size and height and size although the most common height is 1 meter from the ground. If needed we can supply P.a. wings which are also constructed from steeldeck.
Festival Stages
For festival sized events we generally supply trailer stages which are much larger but considerably quicker to setup. A trailer stage will require much larger access to a venue.
Catwalks
Catwalks or Runways as they are sometimes referred to can be an addition to an existing stage or can be constructed for scratch. Pro Event Solutions have often been requested to supply catwalks for fashion shows at hotels and members clubs. Pictured left, in this instance our lighting crew used silk flame effect lights to mark the entrance to the runway and used rotating gobo's to create a water effect along the stage. This proved very popular and has since been used at many venues for different applications.
Access Ramp
As in the title a ramp, usually made from aluminium and available in standard lengths or made to spec to allow for easy access to the stage for either wheel chairs or flight cases on casters. Typically ramps will have a rougher non slip surface and optional hand rails depending on length.
