Girdwood Community Hub
A short drive from Belfast Airport, the Girdwood Community Hub is a shared leisure and community space in north Belfast, offering a wide range of fantastic facilities for conferences, meetings, workshops, sports, and cultural events. The clean and minimalist interior of the Main Hall allows you to create your event exactly how you imagined it to be, making it the perfect backdrop for any setup. The Main Hall is host to sporting events such as boxing and wrestling too! The Hub is also perfect for corporate occasions such as conferences, meetings, and workshops and for corporate away days thanks to the on-site spa and gym.
The Community Main Hall is a massive 600 square metre space which can comfortably accommodate up to 800 people - perfect for a large conference. It’s also ideal for arts events such as exhibitions and fashion shows. The hall features a fully integrated AV and sound system with 6m wide x 4.5m high projection screen. Three different styles of microphones which can be linked up to the wall on mounted speakers. Three fully fixed, two moving and two microphones can be hired. Two movable lighting rigs over the stage that can be altered in both colours and height. There are two conference rooms on site. The larger room has a seating capacity (boardroom style) of 24, while the smaller one can host 16. Both rooms can be rearranged into a boardroom, theatre, or communal horseshoe shape for face-to-face conversation around a leader. They can be subdivided to make 4 smaller rooms if required as well. These facilities all boast built-in audio-visual systems, including a fixed projector, drop-down screen, and microphones. The shared space area is the most versatile space within Girdwood Community Hub and has hosted a range of different events such as medium sized conferences, training seminars, press launches, exhibitions, and business forums. The shared space has a fully moveable wall which can be pulled back if required to enable more open networking space. This multifunctional space comes fully integrated audio visual, surround sound system, and has a ceiling mounted projector screen. The shared space also comes equipped with two fixed, two lapel microphones for small- medium sized conferencing events and also has built in Free Sat, Blu Ray and CD player.
Amenities at Girdwood include a 200-car space car park and very good transport links. The Girdwood Community Hub work closely with professional event production and management companies to provide the very best in music entertainment, professional lighting, tables, covered chairs and seating, floral arrangements, and specialised wedding event catering from banquets to intimate dinners, and tempting menus to give your guests an experience they will never forget.
